Wayne graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1983 with a BBA in marketing.  He continued to further his education by graduating from The Georgia Banking School in 2002 and later from The Graduate School of Banking at LSU in 2010.

He and his wife of thirty years along with their rescue dog, Cosmo the black lab, live in Perdido Key,  Florida.
